If you are familiar with serial buses like PCIe, or you are an expert on signal integrity/power integrity, but don't know your way around extinction ratio and WDM, then join us for a day in a room full of fibers, signals, optical transceivers, and optical oscilloscopes for hands-on experience and discussion of practical measurements in an optical lab. We will focus on optical Ethernet systems - 10, 25, 50, 100 and 400 Gb/s standards such as 400GBASE-DR4 and slower. Besides laboratory equipment, several commercial optical modules will be present and running.

For a digital, analog, or serial data practicing engineer who has little or no optical experience, we provide explanation and hands-on of optical signal measurements. Focus on serial data transmission/direct detect rather than the basic physics of light or the coherent modulation.

Note that this boot camp will break from 11:50 AM to 1:30 PM for the keynote and lunch.
