Identify and address the challenges of maintaining the signal integrity performance of radio-frequency (RF) connectors that land on the edge of a printed circuit board. The quality of high speed data transmission is ensured by matching the size of the connector signal pin to the size of the top dielectric layer in the board and minimizing ground discontinuities.The key dependencies between design variables will exemplify the direct relationship between overall channel performance and the interaction of the interconnect and board, while also identifying the steps necessary to ensure the quality of high speed transmission for edge launch connectors.
