As AR/VR applications are rapidly advancing and gaining traction, time of flight (ToF) 3D mapping can enhance the overall virtual experience through virtual manipulation. Virtual manipulation can include anything from adding 3D functionality to hand controllers, 3D avatar personalization, to recognizing/porting/removing objects. We will take a dive into the working of ToF and present real world examples of ToF applications.
