*RF interference is one of the major problems in modern day consumer electronics. Common mitigation strategies include manipulation of noise source or disturbing the coupling path. A near field analysis approach is presented where in the devices' antenna fields are observed on the DUT. This examination provides insight to the dominant coupling mechanism between the antenna and noise source. The proposed workflow allows designers to manipulate either the antenna characteristics or noise source location based on density of the dominant fields in the vicinity, thus permitting smart design capabilities in a small-form factor product.*
