400G optical transceiver samples are available now and HVM ramp will start sometime next year. 800G standard is on the way and many companies are working towards providing working samples in 2020. This panel will discuss the challenges associated with 800G designs and the next generation technologies such as integrated switch and coherent transceiver for datacenter application. The pros and cons, industry adaption, timelines, barriers and industry readiness to adopt these new technologies will be discussed.
