Car manufacturers, OEMs, and chipset vendors are looking to Automotive Ethernet as a next generation communication bus. This session introduces the testing methodologies for Automotive Ethernet. This includes current standards such as IEEE 802.3bw, IEEE 802.3bp, and OABR 3.2. as well as future variants being defined in 802.3ch. Testing requirements for transmitters, receivers, and harness/connector assemblies will be presented. Fixturing and test access will be discussed.
