Alessandro Bassano I'm Principal Security Research Scientist at Technology and Innovation Institute of Abu Dhabi in UAE, where, we carry out research in the field of embedded systems security and telecommunications, looking for firmware and hardware systems vulnerabilities. Previously, I was Director of the ZTE Cyber Security Lab and Head of Cyber Security Italy (CISO). In the past I have worked in Latin America, Russia, Asia and Europe ensuring, for many years, the maintenance of cyber security operations in critical infrastructures dedicated to the production and distribution of electric energy. I've gained experience in threat intelligence, malware analysis, reverse engineering, and source code review in civil and industrial fields. I have developed RTOS firmware for aircraft propulsion systems, designed SCADA/DCS control systems and encrypted telecommunication systems used in sensitive installations. Acquiring an articulated competence in the Cyber sector - achieved in thirty years of work experience, continuously updated through the research and study of new methods and new techniques - I have taught in the Master "Intelligence, Investigation and Security" organized by the LUMSA University of Rome. I lecture on the Cyber Security of mobile radio networks, as part of the II level Master in Homeland Security - "Systems, methods and tools for security and crisis management", at the UCBM University; I lectured during the "Autumn School "at the SIOI (Italian Society for the International Organization of the United Nations) in Rome; and was also a speaker at the Cyber Security360 Summit in “Palazzo Montecitorio”. I spoke at the Cyber Security Virtual Conference 2021 and at INTERSEC 2022 in Abu Dhabi (Safeguarding Critical infrastructure and SMART City The power, the risk , the response). I've held advanced master classes on cyber security within the "Risorgimento Digitale" project of Telecom Italia Mobile (TIM) and spoken at the "5G Italy" International Conference, ed. 2019 and 2020.
