Devin has been creating production machine learning solutions for over 10 years, focusing on computer vision and advanced control systems. As a Sr. Machine Learning Scientist at Blue River Technology, he focuses on automation and autonomy, as well as Smart Industrial.
Devin got his start creating head- and eye-trackers for the world’s largest flight simulator at NASA Ames in 2010 before joining the digital art collective Marshmallow Laser Feast and helping create the world’s first drone show in 2012. His work as an artist focused on interactive art installations utilizing real-time generated VFX and sound, leveraging computer vision and various event recognition through signal processing. Additionally, Devin implemented custom machine learning algorithms to improve flight performance in drone shows.
Following five years in the art world, Devin has worked for Cisco, LoanSnap, General Radar, Stanford RegLab, before most recently joining Blue River Technology in 2020. He focuses on machine learning problems requiring custom solutions.
