Ramond RodríguezDirector of Strategic CAD CapabilitiesIntel

Ramond Rodríguez is a Director of Strategic CAD Capabilities in Intel’s Global Supplier Management, Research and Development Enabling. Prior to joining Intel, he was an ASIC designer in Xerox Corporation’s Corporate Research & Technology group designing ICs for image enhancement, color, and anti-counterfeit detection imaging products. Ramond joined Intel in 2000, managing an RTL to GDSII DA team and a Front End Design Implementation DA team, where he was responsible for defining tools and methodologies for SoC implementation, verification, and timing flows. He helped implement an SoC flow which was used to support wireless communications design initiatives and was also part of the team which deployed new EDA tools at Intel. Ramond then moved to GSM RDSE where he manages EDA supplier engagements, assessments, and strategies from a technical perspective and coordinates EDA Conference and industry standard participation. He is a member of the Si2 OAC and also sat on the DAC Executive Committee responsible for tutorials, workshops, collocated conferences, and training. Ramond's areas of expertise are Design Methodologies and Environments for Logic Design, Verification, Low Power and Physical Design. Ramond has 2 U.S. and 1 European patents on methods and apparatus for decompression techniques. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from UCLA and an Executive MBA from ASU W.P. Carey Business School.
